This Privacy Policy explains how Lotus Vision Ltd ("we", "our", or "us") collects, uses, discloses, and protects your information when you use GETRO, our mobile application designed to help you manage your personal video game collection and interact with other users.

By using GETRO, you agree to the practices outlined in this Privacy Policy.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following types of information when you use GETRO:

Personal Information:

  • Full Name
  • Email Address
  • Password (encrypted)
  • Payment Details (processed securely via third-party providers)

Automatically Collected Information:

  • IP Address
  • Device Type and OS
  • Usage Data (app interactions, preferences)
  • Cookies and Tracking Technologies
  • Advertising Identifiers (Apple's Identifier for Advertisers / IDFA on iOS, Google Advertising ID / AAID on Android), where you have not opted out at the OS level
  • Approximate (non-precise) location derived from IP address
  • Diagnostic and crash data

Third-Party Data:

We may collect or receive information from third-party platforms (e.g., Google, Apple, or Facebook) if you choose to sign in or integrate your account.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your data to:

  • Create and manage user accounts
  • Personalize your app experience (e.g., game recommendations)
  • Process payments securely
  • Improve app functionality and performance
  • Provide customer support
  • Detect, prevent, and respond to fraud or security issues
  • Show advertisements within the app (where applicable) and measure their performance, as described in the Advertising section below

3. Sharing of Information

We do not sell or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

We may share your data with:

  • Service Providers who help operate our platform (e.g., payment processors, analytics services), under strict confidentiality agreements.
  • Law Enforcement if legally required, or to protect the rights and safety of GETRO and its users.

4. Cookies, SDKs, and Tracking

GETRO uses cookies, mobile SDKs, and similar technologies (including device identifiers and advertising identifiers) to:

  • Save your preferences
  • Track usage for analytics and crash reporting
  • Improve performance and user experience
  • Deliver and measure advertising (see Section 5 below)

You can control or disable cookies through your browser or device settings. On mobile, you can reset or limit ad tracking via your device's advertising settings:

  • iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking, and Settings → Privacy & Security → Apple Advertising
  • Android: Settings → Privacy → Ads (you can delete or reset your advertising ID and opt out of personalised ads)

5. Advertising and Third-Party Ad Partners

GETRO may display advertisements supplied by third-party advertising networks. We use Google AdMob, a mobile advertising service provided by Google LLC, as our primary ad partner. Google AdMob may use cookies, device identifiers, advertising identifiers (IDFA on iOS, AAID on Android), IP address, coarse location, and information about your interaction with ads to:

  • Serve and personalise ads (where you have consented)
  • Serve non-personalised, contextual ads (where you have not consented)
  • Measure the performance of ads and the GETRO app
  • Detect and prevent fraud and abuse
  • Help advertisers and publishers report on ads

Google AdMob may use mediation to fill ad inventory from additional advertising partners. A full list of Google's ad technology partners is available at support.google.com/admob/answer/9012903.

EU/UK/Swiss Users — Consent for Advertising

If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, GETRO will ask for your consent (via a Google-certified Consent Management Platform, in line with IAB Europe's Transparency & Consent Framework) before showing personalised ads or sharing personal data with advertising partners for personalisation purposes. You may withdraw or change your consent at any time from within the app settings.

California Residents — "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information"

Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended by the CPRA, the sharing of personal information with advertising partners for cross-context behavioural advertising may be considered a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. You have the right to opt out. To exercise this right, please:

  • Disable personalised ads in your device settings (see Section 4 above), or in the in-app consent settings if available; and / or
  • Email us at contact@getro.co.uk with the subject line "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information".

We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16 years of age.

6. Data Storage and Transfers

Your data may be stored on servers located in Europe and North America. We implement safeguards in accordance with applicable data protection laws, including GDPR for EU residents.

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

  • Access your personal data
  • Correct inaccurate information
  • Request deletion of your account and data
  • Object to certain processing activities

8. Children's Privacy

GETRO is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or under 16 in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children, and our apps are not registered as "directed to children" under Google Play's Designed for Families programme or Apple's Kids Category. Any advertising shown via Google AdMob is configured to comply with Google's policies for general-audience apps. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child without verifiable parental consent, we will delete it promptly. Parents or guardians who believe their child has provided us with personal information may contact us at contact@getro.co.uk.

9. Security

We take reasonable administrative, technical, and physical measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. However, no system is 100% secure.

10. International Users

If you access GETRO from outside Europe or North America, please be aware that your information may be transferred to, stored in, and processed in those regions, where data protection laws may differ.

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Effective Date" at the top. Significant changes will be communicated via the app or email.
